The Gaza Monologues Resisted

he Gaza Mono-Logues are personal stories of 33 young ASHTAR Theatre Students from Gaza which were sent out to the world and translated into 14 languages, and performed simultaneously on October 17th 2010 by over 1500 youngsters in more than 60 cities in 36 countries around the Globe (Ashtar Theatre). 

The Gaza Monologues was a project undertaken by Tallaght Community Arts in 2018, in 2024 it felt more poignant than ever to revisited the project and remake it with the same people. Producer Sarah Devlin Sinnott tracked down the original participants and we were all to shoot the project keeping in theme with modern day Gaza
